Tighten Skin Naturally and Ease Wrinkles and Scars

Aging does a lot to the skin. Apart from the natural way that skin cells lose their youthfulness, the damage done by exposure to harsh environmental factors that lead to oxidation damage to skin cells also contribute to skin getting less supple and loose. Oxidative damage, or stress, is essentially the degradation that happens to cells as a result of the metabolic process. This is countered by eating antioxidant-rich foods that counter the damaging processes.

Anyway, instead of resorting to face lifts and injections of skin fillers and botox that paralyze muscles, those of you who feel the need to get a moure youthful-looking face can opt to simply use natural skin tightening agents. Natural means that these do not involve surgery and artificial chemicals. Skin tightening can erase wrinkles and make scars appear shallower. Generally, it makes the face more vibrant and takes away years from it.

The natural ingredients for skin tightening at home are easy to find in fruits. These are the vitamin enzymes that reverse damage from oxidation and rejuvenate cells. Suffice it to say that fruits, and vegetables, of course, have what it takes to make your skin a bit tighter. These substances include resveratrol and alpha hydroxy acids that improve skin quality. Recommended fruits to use on the skin and to eat as well are papaya, grapes (especially the seeds), watermelon, strawberry, cherry, red-pulp dragon fruit, blueberry, and cranberry. It may be wise to just eat or drink the juice of fruits that tend to stain, though. Generally, fruit extracts do not really stain the skin for long, but they will still do your skin good internally.

You can buy off-the-shelf skin tightening products that also have natural ingredients. But why settle for manufactured products when you can already benefit well directly from their fruit ingredients which are less expensive and perhaps even more effective?

No-frills System to Keep Skin Looking Young

There are lots of products and methods out there that give techniques and advice on how you can keep your skin looking youthful. A lot of them would require purchasing certain products and these may not exactly be a match to your skin needs. What most people need are just ways to keep skin looking young without the frills or purchases. This system is really simple and it will not take any more of your time or hard-earned money.

Skin is actually a very sensitive organ and it doesn't matter whether you're thin or fat - it's still skin that responds to certain factors. It's condition is a reflection of how you take care of yourself as a whole and this includes your overall disposition. Simply put, good youthful skin begins with your lifestyle. For simplicity, here's a list of some of the things that have a direct effect on your skin: sleep, diet, environment, daily habits, and disposition.

The methods are simple. First, get enough sleep and that means good sleep. This will keep those eyebags at bay and will make your skin less saggy. Next, eat well with plenty of fruit and vegetables where you can get the vitamins and antioxidants that will make your skin glow and generate new cells. Make sure your diet is balanced. The conditions in your immediate environment also affects skin. If you stay out in the sun a lot, your skin will get damaged and the sun also makes you squint, deepening your brow furrows until they're too deep to snap back into smoothness. On the other hand, too little sun will also make your skin unhealthy.

Stay away from areas where you can come in contact with airborne pollutants and create free-radical havoc on your skin. And now that we've mentioned pollutants, it also pays to consider doing away with luxury and lifestyle habits like smoking, which also destroys cells with toxins. Smoke also irritates your skin and your eyes, making your face look drawn. If you tend to be unhappy, it shows on your skin as frown lines and the effects of gravity are more evident. A little smile goes a long way and maintaining a happy attitude will take years off your skin even if you're seventy years old!

The advice given here may sound simple, but they are really useful and work having been proven through the years. What really good about them is it costs you nothing and you even save some money if you follow them. No need for special lotions, creams, and exfoliation. They will definitely give you new skin!

A True Story And Healthy Skin

by Zita Parekh

If your goals include achieving optimal health, a more youthful appearance and a better quality of life, wouldn't it be great to know some of the best skincare solutions that can reclaim your smooth, fresh, youthful complexion and have you waking up every morning looking your best?
Here's a true story. On a recent visit to my hometown in Lithuania, I was reminded by my half sister about a woman we used to know who one day went to her old family doctor complaining of a stomachache. After she described her symptoms, the old doctor peered over his glasses and simply said: "Go see an eye doctor." The woman was stunned. "But, doctor," she said, "I have a stomachache. There's nothing wrong with my eyes." The doctor was adamant. "I am telling you," he said. "Go and see optician." When the woman asked why, the doctor replied: "You have to see an eye doctor in order to see better what you are eating!"
His advice is a good lesson for all of us. If we all looked really closely at the food we are eating every day and thought seriously about what we're putting into our systems, there would be far less sick people in the world. And we all would have healthy and glowing skins.
Non-invasive anti-aging treatments have become very popular these days. But skin care treatments do not require any surgical procedures. All we have to do is find better ways of managing our daily lives. The most natural and recommended way is to eat a well balanced diet combined with exercising and relaxation techniques, all of which will go a long way toward avoiding stress and are far more effective and far less expensive than opting for a surgical remedy or getting Botox injections. Botox injections, for example, cost approximately $400 each, can take up to three weeks before any results are seen and must be repeated every four to six months. In some women, however, these procedures can cause severe and unforeseen scarring and freezing of the facial tissue. Natural face care, on the other hand, will leave your skin healthy, rejuvenated, refreshed and beautiful without the pain and suffering.
Do a little research and choose what is suitable for your particular skin. If a therapist does little more than try to sell you the most expensive anti-aging skin treatment without giving you any other options, you should seriously think about going somewhere else for advice. While learning more about the ingredients is the most important thing you can do when considering anti-aging treatments, always keep in mind that natural ingredients do not irritate the skin or have any negative side effects.
I'm not against the concept of anti-aging. We all want to stay active and healthy well into the later years of our lives. But to do that, we have to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and beautiful looking skin requires an on-going commitment to daily skin care. You can stay healthy and beautiful with antioxidants and protect your body by eating fruits and vegetables. With a healthy lifestyle and periodic maintenance, youth and beauty can be sustained for a long time.
I've personally spent many years looking for solutions to stay as young and beautiful as I can, and because I have adopted a healthy lifestyle, I actually stopped wearing foundation now that my skin is so smooth and lovely. I also discovered some secrets that plastic surgeons will never tell you.
